Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student courses
TAFE courses are designed to extend knowledge in a supportive learning environment sensitive to cultural differences and to the social context, learning style and language base of Indigenous Australian life.
The majority of short courses for Indigenous Australians are offered for Indigenous communities.
TAFE Queensland offers a variety of courses specifically for students of Indigenous Australian descent. These courses range from studies to develop skills for employment or further study to vocational courses leading to careers.
Indigenous students are encouraged to also apply for TAFE mainstream courses.
