Lodge an application with QTAC
TAFE Queensland institutes use the admission systems of the Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre (QTAC) for full-time diplomas, advanced diplomas and some certificates in key study areas. Details of available courses are listed on the QTAC website.
Enrolment times throughout the year can vary, depending on the study option available for the specific course. You may be able to enrol at the specific semester enrolment time or have the flexibility of enrolling at any time during the year.

How to lodge an application with the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC)
Applications for entry into TAFE Queensland full-time diploma and advanced diploma courses have two major yearly in-takes: June and January. Many TAFE institutes make offers to all eligible applicants.
There are several ways to lodge an application with the Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre, including online applications. Refer to details at the Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre (QTAC) or contact QTAC on (07) 3368 1166.
TAFE courses with minimum age requirements require the applicant to reach the minimum specified age by 31 January in the year offers are made.
Most TAFE creative and performing art courses at advanced diploma/diploma level require folio submission for entry. For more specific information regarding folio requirements, please contact the applicable institute.
For current Year 12 students who do not have an Overall Position from senior schooling, selection will be based on achievement in all previous study recorded on the Senior Certificate.
Applicants without Queensland Year 12, or its equivalent, will be assessed on their eligibility and merit utilising the QTAC standard assesssment procedures and relevant schedules.
The QTAC Guide 2008 is provided to all Queensland Year 12 students and sold at selected newsagents.
