Recognition of prior learning tips
-
All evidence must be valid, authentic, current, sufficient or consistent.
-
Be prepared with a resume or notes to talk about your work history (paid or unpaid) and what you did in these jobs or roles.
-
Bring along your current and previous job descriptions, performance appraisals, references, etc.
-
Consider who can confirm your skills and knowledge. Maybe current or recent supervisors in the past 2 years who would be able to confirm your skills. Also consider outside the workplace, such as sports, community groups, etc.
-
Gather any trade certificates, licenses, statements of attainments, and so on, from workplace training or formal study you have done in the past.
