Sexual harassment

TAFE Queensland is committed to providing its staff and students with a working and learning environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.

Sexual harassment can happen to anyone - male or female, young or old. It can happen between men and women, between men or between women.

Sex based harassment on the basis of a person's sex or sexual orientation is not acceptable in TAFE Queensland institutes.

The 'Sexual Harassment Policy for TAFE Queensland Institutes' outlines the course of action that can be taken by anyone who believes that they have experienced sexual or sex based harassment.

TAFE Queensland institutes have Workplace Advice and Referral Network (WARN) officers and student counsellors who are available to answer questions or to provide advice and support.

All students should obtain information on TAFE Queensland's 'Sexual Harassment Policy for TAFE Queensland Institutes' available in all TAFE institute libraries.
