Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) links the Schools, Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education sectors into a single framework.
AQF sets guidelines for the standard of qualifications and principles for institutes to issue qualifications. Institutions registered with the AQF have the full endorsement of Australian Government, State and Territory education ministers.
The AQF register safeguards the integrity of Australian education and training by identifying credible institutions and accreditation authorities.
Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000
International education and training delivered in Australia must meet one of the world's most rigorous requirements, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS). All organisations offering courses to International students in Australia, including English language courses, must abide by the Act and the relevant legislation.
