Step by step guide to applying
You can enrol in most diploma courses between February and July. Certificate courses are offered regularly throughout the year. You can submit your application at any time of the year to be considered for the next available course.
Find a course that suits you then simply follow the steps below.
1. Complete the application form for international students

contact your chosen TAFE Institute for this form

it may be lodged online, faxed, posted or in person.
2. Fax or post supporting documents

copy of passport
-
educational certificate and academic records
-
evidence of employment history (if required)
-
English language test results IELTS, TOEFL or ISLPR if available
-
references from employers (if required)
-
portfolio of artwork or demo tape (if required).
3. Receive your offer of place

you will be sent an offer of place. This may be a conditional offer made on the basis that you meet certain requirements

students from Assessment Level 3 and Level 4 countries will need to apply for their Pre-Visa Assessment (PVA). See the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website for more information.
4. Pay tuition fees
- pay tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as stated on your Offer of Place
- send the required documentation to show that conditions have been met (if your offer is conditional)
5. Receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
6. Apply for your student visa
The Australian Embassy must see your:
- receipt
- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for international students
- Offer of Place
- your payment for OSHC must be made before arriving in Australia.
