Nationally recognised qualifications
The Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) is a national qualification for schools, VET (TAFE and other providers) and Higher Education (Universities).
The training framework links together all these qualifications so that work experience can be recognised along the learning pathway. It is possible to progress from one level to another as well as across an educational sector.
TAFE offers a wide range of course qualification levels, including accredited courses within the AQF.
TAFE Qualifications include:
Advanced Diplomas and Diplomas provide high-level technical or management skills and offer credit to many universities in Queensland. They can also assist in upgrading your work skills or help you enter or re-enter the workforce at a more qualified level.
Certificates III and IV provide a broad range of of skills within a variety of tasks and roles. They can help prepare you for autonomous and supervisory roles within the workplace.
Certificates I and II provide preparatory skills and application of knowledge at a basic level, primarily to provide access to work or further education.
