Sport and recreation

Committed to health and fitness?

Today there is growing interest in and awareness of healthy lifestyles. The fitness, sport and recreation industry has matched this interest by increasing the number of activity options available to consumers.

This sector provides services and programs that develop physical fitness through activity or movement - including health appraisals, fitness assessments and testing, service prescription, conducting exercise classes, stress management and weight control.

The sport sector provides facilities and services that enable people to engage in activities requiring physical effort and skills within a competitive environment and clearly defined set of rules.

The outdoor recreation sector includes individual, group or organisation participation in physical and passive activities and encompasses adventure tourism, personal development programs, experiential learning and corporate adventure training.
