TAFE Queensland offers a wide range of programs in tourism and hospitality and trains all manner of industry professionals - from cooks to waiters and travel agents to hotel managers.

TAFE operates real life restaurants where students experience hands-on learning in all facets of the industry.

Qualified chefs plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food in a number of settings. Catering managers organise and control the operations of stablishments involved in catering and dining.

Travel consultants provide information, advice and booking services for people wishing to travel.

Tour guides accompany visitors and provide special information on matters relating to a particular country, region, city or area and tourism managers promote tourism in their regions through various communication strategies and provide assistance to tourists.
