Looking for a career outdoors?

TAFE Queensland offers learning in natural resource conservation techniques, specialist skills for rural workers in the preparation and showing of beef stud cattle, or shearing shed skills, aquaculture, veterinary nursing, horticultural skills, turf management and more.

Horticulturalists develop new methods of planting, garden design, landscaping, fertilising and harvesting crops and flowers.

Primary industries include farming, pest management, aquaculture, seafood farming and agricultural technology.

Farmers cultivate and harvest crops such as cotton, fruit and vegetables, as well as raise livestock, including sheep, pigs and cattle.

Pest controllers control plant pests, animals and insects that are harmful to crops, livestock and people.

The science and technology industry plays an important part in the quality of our environment, health, lifestyle and work.
