Auto, mining, construction and engineering

Want to reach for the sky? Intrigued by how things work?

Building and construction is a multi-billion dollar business offering a broad range of great job choices and practical training. A career in the building and construction industry provides opportunities to design, build, promote, maintain and renovate homes, shops, restaurants, office buildings and roads. The possibilities are endless.
Civil engineering associates provide technical support to civil engineers. They may carry out surveying and drafting for construction work. Mechanical engineering associates may specialise as air-conditioning drafters, heating and ventilation technical officers or designer drafters.

The automotive industry offers many career options such as motor mechanics, panel beating, automotive electrics engineering and support roles including the specialist field of selling and warehousing automotive replacement parts.

Miners operate equipment to excavate, load and transport coal, ore, mineral sand and rock either underground or in open-cut mines.
