English study options
TAFE Queensland offers five levels of English language training under the Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE).
They are:

English for Pre beginners (Pre CSWE).

English for Beginners (CSWE I).
-
English for Lower Intermediate (CSWE II).
-
English for Intermediate (CSWE III).
-
English forAdvanced (CSWE IV).
All of these courses have a computer component.
Also available are courses in literacy, reading and writing, conversation and pronunciation.
TAFE staff are highly qualified English teachers and are familiar with new and interesting methods of teaching English. Course options include:

classroom based courses
-
fulltime, part time and evenings
-
community classes
-
distance learning
-
home tutor.
In addition to formal classes, some institutes provide the opportunity for clients to learn at their own pace in individual learning centres where they can develop English language skills for particular needs.
For students unable to attend classes, English language tuition may sometimes be arranges through distance learning of the tutor scheme.
