Program of Assistance to Community Tutors
The purpose of the Program of Assistance to Community Tutors is to assist community groups providing informal English as a Second Language tuition.
TAFE recognises the importance and value of the role that the community groups and volunteers play in the continuing process of migrant and refugee settlement in Australia.
The Program of Assistance to Community Tutors aims to enhance:
- liaison with community providers of English as a Second Language tuition to longer-term migrants
- the delivery of volunteer tutor training within community organisations
- the provision of ongoing assistance to community organisations through:
- course planning and other advice
- access to the Program of Assistance to Community Tutors Workshop Calendar
- access to the Program of Assistance to Community Tutors mobile lending library.
