This course is for people desiring to work in a legal office work environment. Students will learn to use legal terminology, apply legal knowledge of the legal system to complete tasks, word process and deliver court documentation, maintain records for time and disbursements in a legal practice and to organise schedules.
Entry requirementsCompletion of Year 10 is desirable, Certificate II in Business or other related competencies is recommended. This course is suitable for those with no formal business qualifications but who have some clerical, or receptionist work and to recent school leavers through a traineeship.
Job outcome Career prospectsCareer possibilities include: legal receptionist, legal secretary. This qualification may provide a pathway to the Certificate IV in Legal Services or a range of other Certificate IV qualifications.
