Course summary

This qualification focuses on performance of a prescribed range of functions within the "Flooring covering and finishing" sector of the furniture industry. Skills gained could include use of flooring sector hand and power tools, inspect, prepare and install timber and monolithic sub floors, install carpet coverings to stairs and flooring, install cork and parquetry flooring and estimate and cost jobs.

Entry requirements

Completion of Year 10 or equivalent, Sound Achievement in Mathematics and English is recommended. Current employment in the flooring technology sector is desirable.
