About the Institute
Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE is the largest provider of vocational education and training in North Queensland.
The institute enrols over 13,500 students each year, operating in a competitive training market along with other private training providers. The institute is the largest trainer of apprentices in the region, and also trains large numbers of employees, across a broad and diverse range of industries in North Queensland.
Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE also provides community-building programs (literacy, return-to-work) and customised programs for business. Program delivery includes face-to-face, on-the-job, web-based, block-release and blended modes.
