The Queensland Overseas Foundation's scholarship [PDF 1.3mb] program could be your passport to furthering your skills and career overseas for up to two years.
The Queensland Overseas Foundation Inc. is a voluntary, non-profit organisation. It provides young people with the opportunity to broaden their vocational horizons and improve their career prospects by working overseas. Established in 1976, the Foundation is sponsored by industry and supported by the Queensland Government. It operates through a Board of Governors representing a range of industries and expertise.
Four scholarships valued at up to $7 000 each are on offer.

The scholarships cover the cost of return airfares, a settling-in allowance and incidental costs such as travel insurance. Scholarships are normally for one to two years and all Scholarship recipients are supported by a Governor who provides mentoring support prior to departure and while the person is overseas.
Eligibility
The scholarships are open to TAFE students who:

have completed an apprenticeship, traineeship or vocational certificate IV or diploma in the past four years

have gained relevant work experience
-
are a Queensland resident
-
are prepared to take out the scholarship within 12 months of it being awarded
-
want to work in your profession for up to 2 years overseas
