SkillsTech Australia nails it celebrating National Carpenters' Day this Friday 20 July with an inaugural Trade Open Day at the Bracken Ridge Training Centre to assist Queenslanders who want to become apprentices.
SkillsTech Australia Institute Director Mary Campbell said the Trade Open Day would give Queensland students the opportunity to tour the TAFE institute and would feature hands on activities and demonstrations in all the trades delivered at the centre.
"There will be Try'aTrade activities for metal fabrication, automotive, building and construction, electrotechnology, and refrigeration and air conditioning trades to showcase what trade training is all about," Mrs Campbell said.
"There will be information stalls from a wide range of government organisations and businesses, our trade teachers will be on hand to speak to students plus there will giveaways from industry to celebrate National Carpenters' Day."
