Small Business Solutions launches digital eBusiness program
Monday, 16 April 2012
Small Business Solutions (SBS) has launched an innovative eBusiness program to assist small business owners and operators identify how to leverage digital technologies and discover new business opportunities.
Small Business Solutions recognises there is confusion surrounding digital technologies, with some business operators claiming that rapidly changing communication platforms can often be seen as too difficult, expensive or complicated.
The SBS eBusiness program consists of a three hour one on one workplace eBusiness Health Check, with an accredited SBS Business Skills Mentor, and a Workshop.
Mentors can support SBS participants to implement new digital capabilities into their business through investigating digital business opportunities, evaluating and designing eBusiness models and implementing an eBusiness strategy.
Mr Philip Fung, manager of Small Business Solutions said internet technologies are changing the way businesses are built, operated, communicated and marketed.
"With every facet of our lives, both personal and business, being influenced to varying degrees by the internet, to say that an online presence for your business is not necessary could be a costly mistake," Mr Fung said.
"Deciding if digital technologies, a website or ecommerce are right for your small business can be daunting prospect."
Mr Fung says that the program is a cost effective way for small business owners to understand the basics of digital marketing, social networking, blogging and using analytics to maximum effect and how to gain top exposure for their business website.
The eBusiness Health Check and workshop are excellent value at just $120*.
(*Full course $1100, and program funded through Strategic Investment Fund, a Queensland Government initiative and Regional Development Australia.)
Small Business Solutions extends an invitation for all small business owners and operators to take advantage of this innovative program.
Small Business Solutions is an outcome of the State Government's Queensland Skills Plan, and has been developed by the Department of Education and Training in conjunction with TAFE Queensland and Skilling Solutions Queensland.
